Kanha Tiger Reserve
Spread across 940 sq. km. of core forest and over 2,000 sq. km. of the buffer zone, the Kanha Tiger Reserve landscape is one of India's most celebrated protected forests and a world-renowned wildlife destination. The reserve features four safari zones — Kanha, Kisli, Mukki and Sarhi — each offering unique landscapes and excellent opportunities to spot the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger.
Believed to have inspired Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book, Kanha is also home to the rare Hard Ground Barasingha, Indian gaur, wild dogs, sloth bears, and over 300 bird species. Whether it's an exciting jungle safari, birdwatching, or simply enjoying the peaceful wilderness, every visit to Kanha offers unforgettable wildlife experiences and memories that last a lifetime.

The Four Zones of Kanha
Each zone of Kanha offers a distinct character — from dense sal forests to open meadows. Choose your gateway into the wild.

KanhaZone
The core zone and heart of the park — vast sal and bamboo forests with the meadows that inspired Kipling's Jungle Book.

KisliZone
A dense, mixed-forest zone known for quieter trails and strong leopard activity, close to the park's original entry gate.

MukkiZone
Remote and less crowded, Mukki offers some of the park's highest tiger density and open grassland vistas.

SarhiZone
A newer buffer zone bordering dense sal forest, ideal for peaceful morning drives with fewer vehicles.
